Fort Myers Beach sits on Estero Island, a picturesque seven-mile coastline that offers endless fun on land and water. There are many fun and exciting watersports to try during your beach vacation, from relaxing paddling adventures to exhilarating parasailing flights. Parasailing in Fort Myers Beach is an excellent way to spend an afternoon with the family since it is an easy and fun activity for all ages. If you are unfamiliar with parasailing, Edison Beach House has you covered with everything you need to know about this kiting activity.

What is Parasailing?

If you’ve never been parasailing before, you may be wondering what this unique watersport is all about. Parasailing is a kiting activity where flyers will be towed behind a boat to be carried into the air by a giant parachute. At this point, you’ll be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy the sensation of floating in the air. The minimum age for most parasail rides is five, but participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian with them. We recommend wearing swimsuits or any clothes you are comfortable getting wet for the parasail, and don’t forget your sunscreen!

Paradise Parasail

Paradise Parasail introduced parasailing to Southwest Florida 40 years ago, and they continue the tradition today with some of the best flights on the beach. They offer four parasail trips, including 1200 feet of towline, to ensure spectacular views of Fort Myers Beach with every trip. And if you want to keep these memories for a lifetime, we recommend purchasing photos of your experience taken by professional photographers.

Ranalli Parasail

Ranalli Parasail offers the highest and longest parasail flights on the island. One to three people can fly simultaneously while enjoying bird-eye views of the Gulf of Mexico, Fort Myers Beach, and Sanibel Island. Experience the thrill of free-fall dips and watch for dolphins, turtles, and manatees while parasailing in Fort Myers Beach.

Wind and Water Sports

The Wind and Water Sports team has a combined 40 years of parasailing experience and has been voted “Best on the Beach.” The base ride provides a 600’ towline, while the high ride offers a 1200’ towline with fun dips. Unlike other parasailing companies on the island, the minimum age to fly is six instead of five.
